ART VADER & ARTISTS UNITED AGAINST AI
As an artist, I'm concerned by the recent developments and controversy surrounding AI and the art world. Some say we're exaggerating, that it's just another tool, that it can never replace real artists ...
They only seek to normalize and justify an aberration such as blatant plagiarism and trampling on the dignity and rights of the artist over his work. Don't be confused, there is nothing wrong with using artistic AI personally, to send among friends and family, to make jokes or to joke around, we have been doing it for years , taking images from movies and adding witty or ironic messages and we call them "memes" (a whole culture!) They don't harm anyone and they are fun and what would some old songs be without a DJ who takes samples or remixes them to make them known to new generations. Every idea is born from another when we create and inspiration leads us to innovate and sometimes to improve the original idea or to parody it, always with recognition and respect for the author and the original idea...
The problem arises when the copycat profits from those residual images produced by others . There are already some who print and sell T-shirts with AI designs, sell you portraits, and even participate in contests with pirated works as if they were their own. They create books and music with AI, displacing real authors. I present the case of the video game "Cuphead," a game inspired by the rubber hose style, handcrafted and years in development. When it was released, it was quite successful, and imitators (Cuphead didn't invent anything either, but some copies were more than shameless) kept coming out to jump on the bandwagon, like remoras in search of scraps. These copies were singled out for their shamelessness, but they surely made some money...
Maybe They do not yet endanger artistic activity , but they do devalue it and will eventually replace us. The advancement of technology could dominate the world and humans could lose their humanity, the price to pay for a perfect utopia is our own human condition . This is the conclusion left to us by works such as “ Brave New World ” by Aldous Huxley or “ 1984 ” by George Orwell and countless series and films that , although they are exaggerated to give it a cinematic point , do not stray too far from the future we are heading towards ( they direct .. rather ) and have ceased to be fiction to gradually become a terrifying reality ...
People with imagination , hope, dreamers, and plans for the future— we are the enemy of the new world order they seek to impose. They want a robotized society, obedient, alienated consumers and slaves, and that's why they will lose . To achieve their goals, they must crush the human spirit , and they will never succeed ( but they will try ... oh , they will try).
That's why from here I make a call, I plant a seed, an idea, a revolution artistic !! Already in the United States, long before this controversy , film and voice actors, screenwriters, film directors and animators took to the streets in protest against AI, seeing their jobs in danger and I say let's join the protest !! Let's all join ! Because it's not just the job that's in danger, it's a way of life ... art is a way of life!!

There's no need to go out into the streets; it's a spiritual and mental battle. From your home with your computer or mobile phone , you have more power than you think. You can do a lot by doing nothing. Just keep your energy high and positive, trusting in a better future, and above all, don't consume products or promotions created with AI. Demand human production and don't use ChatGPT or any other AI program. Don't let a machine think for you.
With these simple gestures, you 'll support true creators, join the cause for a more humane society, and, apparently, save water. I'm not against technology , far from it , but its purpose should be to assist humanity, not replace it. The theory Chaos mathematics predicts that if we create robots and intelligences superior to ours, they will eventually rebel against us, and if they don't and they fulfill all our orders and wishes, It will be worse, as life will lose its meaning. It's not hard to imagine; it's a universal law, cause and effect...
Everything we do has good and bad consequences. We managed to break down the atom (which is living proof of humankind's dominion over nature, the fire of Prometheus) and obtained an infinite, clean source of energy (don't be fooled), but at the same time we created the atomic bomb. If there is light, there must be darkness. And the same thing happens in all spheres . Look at religion , which was created to unite people and almost always kills more than it saves, or politics , etc. Everything has its dark side.
But returning to the topic and concluding, it is time for us to show the powerful who really has the power and make it clear that we reject their idiocracy , that we understand that forced is the opposite of spontaneous and that we will fight to defend freedom of thought, creativity and imagination .
We are on the verge of a change of era, a Re-renaissance so to speak. Good movies , good music , poets, painters, theater, good stories will return ... Say goodbye to this era of censorship, oppression , forced inclusion , indoctrination, a quasi-medieval era , and say hello to the new era ... The age of enlightenment !!! Together it is possible, join ART VADER !! Join the artistic revolution !!
